The Question I Asked God as a Child

When I was a young child, I carried a question deep in my heart — one that many people ask but are often afraid to say out loud:

“Who created God?”

I brought this question to Jehovah God with innocence, and He answered me directly. His voice came clearly, and I understood it as a child. He said:

“I was not created. I created Myself. I appeared alone.”

In that sacred moment, I saw a powerful vision. God was alone in eternity, surrounded by glory. He did not come from anything — He simply is. Then God commanded the heavens to appear, and He descended to the land of heaven. There, He commanded a throne to appear before Him, and then He commanded His wings to disappear, because He no longer needed them.

He spoke again:

“I created everything in six days. I commanded it all into being.”

Not only because I was taught, but because I heard it directly from Him. From that day forward, I carried a holy respect for God. This vision shaped my entire journey. It gave me understanding, purpose, and the foundation for everything I now share with the world. I believe God showed me this to prepare me for the calling I would walk in — the mission, the visions, the testimony, and the message of the Son of God returning to speak to the world.

A Child’s Question That Opened Heaven

Children often ask the deepest questions. Their hearts are pure, their faith uncomplicated. As a young boy in Kenya, I was no different. While other children played, I pondered the mysteries of existence. “Who created God?” The question burned inside me until I brought it before the Lord in prayer.

What happened next was not a simple Sunday school answer. God responded with a direct encounter. In the vision, I witnessed the eternal self-existence of Jehovah. Before time began, before stars or planets, before angels or man — God was. He spoke creation into being from the overflow of His own glory.

This was not distant theology. It was intimate revelation. God allowed a child to glimpse His majesty, and that moment marked me for life.

The Vision of the Eternal God

In the vision, I saw God alone in radiant glory. No one beside Him. No beginning. No end. Then, with a command, the heavens unfolded. He descended into the realm He had just created — the land of heaven. A throne appeared at His word. For a moment, wings were present, perhaps for the sake of the vision, and then He commanded them to vanish. He needed nothing. He is self-sufficient, all-powerful, and sovereign.

Finally, He declared the six days of creation. With authority, He brought light, sky, land, seas, plants, animals, and humanity into existence. Everything responded to His voice. This was not random chance or evolution — it was deliberate, loving, commanded creation.

This revelation answered my childhood question and gave me something greater: awe. God is not like us. He does not depend on anyone or anything. He is the uncreated Creator, the Alpha and Omega.

How This Encounter Shaped My Life

From that early encounter, my spiritual journey took on new depth. I began to see every other vision — the giant spirit above the clouds, the heavenly crowning with my Queen, the promised son’s ascent, the angel delivering my spiritual seed to Kenya — through the lens of this foundational truth. The God who appeared alone is the same God who sent me to Earth with purpose.

In 2012, during my near-death experience, this childhood revelation came flooding back with even greater clarity. It confirmed that my life was not accidental but part of the continuing story of the Creator who commands everything into being.

This understanding protected me through trials. When challenges came, I remembered: the God who created the universe in six days is more than able to carry me through any storm. When doubt tried to creep in, I recalled His voice answering a little boy’s question. That memory anchored me.

A Message for Every Seeker

If you have ever wondered about God — who He is, where He came from, or why He created us — know that He is not offended by honest questions. He delights in answering the hungry heart, even that of a child.

To the young people in Kenya and across Africa: Ask bold questions. Seek God with all your heart. He will reveal Himself to you just as He did to me. You do not need a theology degree. You only need a sincere heart.

To those who feel far from God: He is not hidden. The same eternal God who appeared alone in my vision is reaching out to you today. He created you with purpose. Your life matters to Him.

Powerful Lessons from the Creator

God Is Self-Existent — He depends on nothing. This gives us confidence that He can handle every situation in our lives.

Creation Is by Command — The same voice that spoke the universe into being can speak order into your chaos, peace into your storm, and purpose into your confusion.

Childlike Faith Opens Heaven — Never lose the innocence of a child’s heart. God responds to simple, sincere faith.

We Are Created With Purpose — Just as God intentionally created everything, He intentionally created you. You are not here by mistake.

Eternity Is Real — The God who existed before time invites us into eternal relationship with Him. This life is preparation for glory.

Living With Revelation

Since that childhood encounter, I have walked with greater reverence and boldness. Every vision God has given me flows from knowing the uncreated Creator. My calling to speak truth, love, and hope to the nations is rooted in this foundation.

I encourage you to revisit the questions you carried as a child. Bring them to God again. Spend time in prayer and in His Word. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you in fresh ways. The same God who answered me is ready to answer you.

To every reader feeling lost or purposeless: Look to the Creator. The One who made the heavens and the earth knows your name and has a plan for your life.

This childhood question and God’s answer became the foundation of everything I am today. It prepared me for the mission, the visions, and the testimony I now carry. The message is clear: the eternal God who created all things is still speaking, still revealing, and still calling people to Himself.
