The Night My Spirit Returned from Heaven
Introduction
My name is Teddy Waiyaki Saiteye. I am a deaf and mute person from Nairobi, Kenya. I want to share a life-changing experience I had in 2012 — an experience that completely redefined my understanding of life, faith, and my divine purpose.
At that time, I was gravely ill. I suffered from intense heart pain and severe headaches that made it difficult to find rest. One night, as I tried to sleep, my physical body gave way to weakness, and I collapsed entirely. In that moment of physical failure, I left this world. I died.
What happened next was extraordinary.
The Journey to Heaven
My spirit was suddenly lifted from my physical body and moved with incredible, unexplainable speed toward heaven. In that divine place, I stood before the presence of Jesus Christ and Jehovah God. Though my physical eyes first saw darkness during the collapse, my spirit felt an overwhelming strength and purity unlike anything I had ever known in my earthly body.
As I tried to understand what was happening, my spirit saw a vision like a screen showing my mother and brother mourning over my lifeless body in our house. Tears filled my spirit as I realized I had left them behind so suddenly, leaving our home filled with grief.
Then an archangel appeared and walked directly toward me. He communicated with me using beautiful, fluid signs and told me something that shocked and humbled me to my very core: my spirit was the son of God, and I had a specific assignment to fulfill. I was overwhelmed with fear and awe, but the archangel reassured me. He asked, "Why are you fearful?" Then he led me deeper into a divine throne room where Jesus Christ stood near Jehovah God, radiating an unshakeable light of authority and love.
Along the way, I saw countless little children of God — beautiful spirits filled with pure light. They looked at me with wonder, because my spirit was tall and mighty, resembling the divine structure of Jehovah God Himself. Even the powerful guardian angels who walked with us seemed small in comparison to the spiritual stature I had been given.
I could not see Jesus Christ or Jehovah God directly because of the vastness of the light, and I felt strong emotions surging within me. Then I turned to the archangel and asked to return to my body because I knew my calling on Earth was not yet complete.
With a gentle smile, he said, "Okay, let's go."
The Return to Earth
At that moment, my spirit felt joy and peace. With incredible speed, like Superman, I soared through the vastness of space, returned to Earth, flew through the clouds, and re-entered my body.
When I woke up, it was midnight. My mother and brother were stunned to see me alive and breathing again. I felt healed — not only physically, but spiritually. That experience left me with a deep belief: my spirit is strong, purposeful, and connected to God in ways I cannot fully explain. My writing and my identity are not products of earthly circumstances; they are a divine mandate.
Why This Story Matters
This testimony is more than a story about illness and survival. It is a true account about a divine encounter, spiritual awakening, and the power of faith.
It reminds me that life is sacred, that the soul is real, and that God's presence can meet us even in our deepest weakness. It taught me that our physical limitations do not limit our spirit. Even in silence, God speaks. Even in darkness, His light shines.
This experience completely changed how I view my purpose. My deafness, my struggles, and my journey are all part of a greater divine plan. Today, I share my story through writing and digital content so that others who feel limited, silenced, or lost can find hope and strength in God.
