My Sister Linda Wanjiku and the Journey of My Spirit
My sister’s name was Linda Wanjiku. She was the firstborn in our family, born in Pumwani, Nairobi, Kenya in 1980. As she grew up, she became an exceptionally hardworking, resilient woman who poured her heart into everything she did. She successfully completed her school layout, found a stable job, and quickly built a successful life for herself. Beyond her own achievements, she also stepped up to help pay my school fees for secondary school, ensuring I had access to a proper education. I will always remember her profound kindness, her unwavering support, and the deep love she had for our family.
Later on, my sister became very sick. She suffered from an intense illness like TB, and as her condition grew worse, my family and close relatives quickly took her to the hospital hoping for a recovery. At that time, right before I left, I told my sister that I was going to the Rev. Muhoro Secondary School for the Deaf in Nyeri to continue my studies. But she looked at me and asked me why I was leaving her side, because she deeply wanted to stay with me in Nairobi. Even so, despite the heavy weight in my heart, I had to go, and I went to school.
One night, while I was asleep in Nyeri, I had a vivid, striking dream that my sister had passed away. When I woke up early the next morning, I felt a deep sense of sadness, entirely unsure if it was just a nightmare or a real spiritual warning. But later that same day, my mother and my cousin arrived unexpectedly at the school. The deputy principal heard them speaking about my sister, and then a teacher called me over to meet them. That was the exact moment when I learned the painful, crushing truth: my beloved sister had passed away in 2008.
I cried deeply from the bottom of my soul and felt an overwhelming sadness. My family and relatives brought me back to Nairobi, and I witnessed her burial in Lang'ata, Nairobi, laying her physical body to rest.
My Sister's Spirit in Heaven
I also believe with all my heart that my sister’s spirit met a guardian angel in heaven immediately after her passing. In that glorious realm, she saw a television-like screen showing me on earth, crying and mourning her loss. A powerful guardian angel told her spirit all about me and called me the son of God. She was deeply surprised to hear this divine truth. The angel also told her spirit that my spirit was very high in my mind, possessing a unique stature, and was incredibly special before God.
As she listened to the angel's words, she was completely amazed by the grand story of my life and purpose. The guardian angel walked with her spirit freely, guiding her through the heavenly realms without an ounce of judgment. Later on, she met her father in heaven, and she was beautifully surprised and comforted to see him waiting there for her.
My Near-Death Experience in 2012
The next year, in 2012, I had a powerful near-death experience of my own that changed everything forever. My spirit left my physical body and was transported very quickly into the high realms of heaven. My sister Linda was already there, and she witnessed my spirit arriving as a tall, giant spirit walking boldly with an archangel near God’s majestic throne.
My sister called out my name, "Teddy," and God heard her cry echoing through the realm. But my spirit was completely deaf to the physical sounds, and my eyes were focused intently looking toward the brilliant light of God’s children. Then, realizing my work on earth was not yet finished, I turned to the archangel and asked to return to my body.
With incredible speed, my spirit flew back like Superman, soaring at great speed through the vastness of space, clouds, and atmosphere, and returned directly to my body in Nairobi. Then I was completely resurrected and healed.
My sister cried in heaven because she was initially unable to reach out and touch me. But the guardian angel gently comforted her, telling her that my spirit was deaf and that I had simply seen the pure light of the spirits, the beautiful children of God. After hearing that, my sister understood my unique journey much more clearly.
She saw firsthand that my spirit was very handsome, vastly greater and stronger than my physical body on earth, and she joyfully told people in heaven all about it. She called my name, Teddy, in deep worship and singing, and then many other holy spirits joined in singing and worshipping right along with her in a great heavenly choir.
A Return to Kenya
My sister also said that she did not want to remain exclusively in heaven. She expressed a deep desire to return to Kenya because she was born there, loved her homeland, and wanted to be close to me. Other spirits around her also wanted to return to earth, but the guardian angels told them not to worry, comforting them and giving them hope that my spirit would return to heaven one day when my assignment is complete.
This story is a cornerstone part of my testimony about family, faith, heaven, and the incredible journey of the human spirit. I share it openly because it is connected to my life, my sister, and the mysterious, beautiful way God works across both realms.
Thank you for reading my personal testimony and honoring my sister's memory with me.
