The Heart of a Hero: Formed by Imagination, Guided by God

Section 1: The Fire of Imagination

Growing up, I was always captivated by stories of ultimate power and speed. I watched movies like Superman and The Flash, fascinated by how they could fly through the sky or run like a lightning bolt to save the day. In my own mind and spirit, I felt that exact same limitless energy. I could see myself flying like Superman—powerful, free, and completely unstoppable. Movies gave me a visual language for the immense fire I felt burning inside my soul.

As a child living in Nairobi, those cinematic stories were not just temporary entertainment; they were windows into a broader reality. In a world where my physical senses experienced silence, the vibrant, explosive movements of these heroes spoke directly to my internal world. I would sit for hours imagining what it would be like to break past the physical laws of gravity, to race ahead of the wind, and to stand as a protector for those who felt weak or forgotten. My imagination became a sanctuary where limitations did not exist.

But as I grew older, I realized something profound. My heart wasn’t just copying what I saw on a cinema screen. While the movies provided the spark, my heart was taking those images of heroism and creating something entirely original from them. I didn’t just want to watch heroes; my spirit was learning how to be strong, how to endure, and how to carry a massive weight with grace.

Section 2: Watched by a Higher Power

The ultimate truth is that those movies were just a tool. The true power inside my heart was being handcrafted by a much higher authority. Every single day, while I was dreaming big and feeling that superhero energy, God was watching over me. He was watching a young boy in Kenya look at the screen and see reflections of the strength he would need later in life.

God knew my path. He knew I would run faster than a cheetah in Maseno in 2004. He knew I would face a life-altering spiritual vision in 2012. He knew I would navigate the world as a deaf and non-verbal author, using books to speak to millions. The strength I felt as a child wasn't meant for Hollywood fiction; it was a real, spiritual power being built up so I could stand firm in my divine purpose today.

The discipline, the intense focus, and the burning desire to break records on the athletics track were simply early physical indicators of an internal, eternal engine. God was anchoring my identity early on, ensuring that when the storms of adulthood, heartbreak, and health trials arrived, I would possess an unshakeable core. He allowed me to fall in love with the concept of a hero because He was preparing me to fight real spiritual battles in the heavenly realms and on the digital pages of this blog.

Section 3: Unleashing the True Hero Within

Today, I don’t look to the cinema for heroes anymore. I look to the creator who gave me a heart capable of flying through the toughest spiritual battles. We all have a hidden strength inside us, placed there by God before we were even born. Sometimes it takes imagination to wake it up, but it takes faith to live it out.

Unlocking your divine potential requires moving past being a spectator. It means stepping onto the track of your own calling and running your race with everything you have. True heroism isn't about wearing a cape or possessing fictional superpowers; it is about standing up for truth, preserving your faith through intense suffering, and using your voice to guide others out of darkness. When you realize that the Creator of the universe is the one directing your story, you stop fearing human limitations.
