Another Encounter with Glory: A Fresh Vision That Changed My Path
Another Encounter with Glory: A Fresh Vision That
Introduction
There are moments in life when God reminds you that He is still actively writing your story, even when you feel like you are standing still. Recently, I had another powerful, deeply spiritual encounter — one that was not as dramatic or shocking as my 2012 near-death experience, but proves to be equally life-changing in how it directs my path forward.
While in prayer one evening in Nairobi, a deep, unshakable peace completely surrounded me. The noise of the city outside seemed to fade into total insignificance. Suddenly, in my spirit, I saw myself standing on a high, magnificent mountain peak. Below me was the entire city of Nairobi, glowing beautifully with millions of lights stretching across the horizon. Above me was an open heaven, radiating a brilliant divine glory. In this space, angels were moving swiftly through the light, carrying what looked like ancient scrolls and vibrant flames of fire. The atmosphere was charged with holy anticipation.
Then I heard a clear, powerful voice in my spirit saying:
“Teddy, the time of preparation is ending. Now is the time to release what I have placed inside you. Many are waiting for the light you carry.”
I was completely overwhelmed by the gravity of those words. In that exact moment of revelation, I understood with absolute clarity that my deafness, my long seasons of absolute silence, my past struggles, and even my hidden athletic gifts from my youth were all intentional parts of God’s perfect design. Absolutely nothing in my life was wasted. Every hardship was a deliberate carving out of my character to prepare me for this moment.
What This Vision Taught Me
This fresh encounter reminded me of three powerful, foundational truths that guide my work as a writer and content creator today:
1. God’s Timing is Perfect
Even when we feel completely delayed, isolated, or limited by our physical senses, God is quietly preparing us in the hidden places. The wilderness is not a punishment; it is a greenhouse for spiritual maturity.
2. Your Limitation Can Become Your Platform
My physical silence has forced me to develop a profound, resonant voice through the power of writing. What the world calls a weakness or a disability, God turns into a unique, unshakeable strength that breaks through barriers.
3. We Are Called to Release the Light
The glory, comfort, and insight we receive in private prayer is never meant to be hidden or kept to ourselves. It is meant to be shared boldly with the world. My testimony, my blog, and my books are no longer just for me — they are tools for those who desperately need hope in a dark season.
A New Season
I left that sacred prayer time with a fresh, burning fire in my heart and a completely renewed sense of purpose. I now feel more determined than ever to keep writing, keep sharing, and keep trusting God’s intricate plan for my life. The days of hiding or doubting the impact of my voice are completely over.
To anyone reading this who is currently waiting on God, going through a prolonged silent season, or wondering if your life still has a distinct purpose — I want you to know this from the bottom of my heart:
Your current chapter is not the end of the book. It is merely a transition point. God is still speaking into your life. He is still moving circumstances in the background. And He has absolutely not forgotten you.
Keep trusting the layout He has set before you. Keep praying in the quiet places. Keep walking forward with bold expectation.
Have you ever received a fresh vision, a timely word, or spiritual encouragement from God when you needed it most? How did it change the way you look at your obstacles?
